MARKETING MANAGER - PHOENIX

Essential Duties

Provides for profit growth and global expansion of products and services by developing and executing marketing plans and programs, developing pricing and packaging strategies and overseeing product development and/or monitoring trends that indicate the need for new products and services.

Provides for generation of sales leads and market awareness by taking part in the planning process and overseeing advertising and promotion activities, including Online/Web advertising, Web casts, newsletters, editorials/advertorials, e-mail blasts and integrated marketing and liaison with our telesales, business development and international sales departments.

Coordinates events including trade shows and conferences.

Plans, designs, updates and maintains all trade show materials and submits a budget for said items.

Coordinates copywriting, design, layout, paste-up, and production of promotional materials.

Assumes responsibility for the overall look-and-feel and site layout of company Web sites as assigned by the VP of Marketing.

Contributes to the implementation of ongoing Online marketing campaigns and oversees SEO for assigned company Web sites to facilitate e-commerce sales, lead generation and market awareness.

Ensures effective control of marketing results by providing cost/benefit analysis of marketing programs to the VP of Marketing.

Keeps abreast of market and client needs and reactions by conducting marketing surveys on current and new certification and product concepts.

Responds to sales requests for specific marketing collateral pieces

Keeps management informed on marketing activity through appropriate reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field. 4 - 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the education or training industry a plus.

Technical Skills: Extensive user knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator (or equivalent graphic design software). Experience with XHTML and WYSIWYG Web development tools. Ability to use an e-mail package, general PC usage skills in a Windows environment.

Design Skills: Extensive graphic design experience and some experience with Web site design and development. CIW and Adobe ACE certifications preferred.
